Somar Austin

Senior Living Consultant

Somar brings a unique blend of skills to her current role as a Senior Living Coordinator. Previously serving as the HR Assistant at Evergreen. She managed properties in senior living/low-income housing before finding a true calling in senior care. Beyond the professional sphere, Somar is passionate about hearing real-life stories and historic events, forging deep connections with seniors who become like family. This commitment extends beyond a mere “job” – it’s a genuine home where residents and staff are embraced as family.

Somar holds a rich educational background, attending North State University and the University of Illinois, earning associates in early childhood education and liberal arts before completing a bachelor’s in elementary education. With an additional focus on criminal justice from Eastern Wyoming College and training at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy,  

Somar is dedicated to enhancing residents’ lives, providing a fulfilling and high-quality living experience that goes beyond traditional activities like bingo.

Outside of work, she shares a close bond with family, residing in Wyoming and South Dakota, and takes joy in the company of two fur babies, Freya and Poppy. An aficionado of art and music, Somar also channels creativity into refurbishing furniture during leisure moments.

Ashley Hofland

Director of Operations

Ashley Hofland joined the Agemark team in August 2023. She brings two years of experience as a Regional Operations Manager for Primrose Retirement Community. Prior to making a career shift to senior living, Ashley was a Senior Parole Agent, a Program Director for Boys & Girls Club and worked in Child Protection Services. 

Ashley earned a bachelor’s degree in Child Development & Family Services from North Dakota State University. She makes her home in Aberdeen, SD, with her husband, Nick and their three children.
